Meetings

MarCom holds monthly professional development and networking meetings on the first Friday of every month, September through June (with the exception of January), from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. However, the September 2010 meeting will be held on the 10th due to the three day Labor Day weekend.

Meetings will be held at The Herak Club Room at Gonzaga’s McCarthey Athletic Center, 801 N. Cincinnati. The Herak Club Room is on the south side of the McCarthey Athletic Center, street level.

If traveling on I-90, take exit 282 (Trent/Hamilton). Merge into the left lane and take a LEFT at the light (Trent). Take your first RIGHT (Cincinnati St.). The main parking lot will be 1 block North on your left.

The meeting fee, which covers breakfast, is $5 for student members with RSVP, $10 for student non-members, $15 for members at the door and, and $20 for non-members at the door. Discounts are available for members who pre-pay for all 9 breakfasts.

This year we are offering businesses the opportunity to sponsor a breakfast. For the low cost of $100, you can promote your business, event or service in front of 50-80 communication professionals at a monthly breakfast meeting. You will also receive:

  • A write-up in the MarCom newsletter (150 words)
  • Banner at the event
  • Opportunity to leave goodies at the breakfast tables or have a booth/exhibit at the breakfast
  • PSA at MarCom breakfast meeting

The money raised from the breakfast sponsorships will support our internship program. This year, our goal is to raise $6,000 for three local students. Help us reach our goal!
