MarCom assists members to perform at their best by providing the following benefits:

• Monthly Meetings. Meetings feature presentations by local, regional and national experts on a variety of profession-related topics ranging from effective media relations and community relations tactics to crisis communication planning and advertising strategies that get results.
  • MarCom's monthly meetings are a great place to network with like-minded professionals.
  • Meetings are usually held on the first Friday of every month except July and August.
  • Guests are always welcome.

• Professional Development Opportunities. MarCom holds half-day seminars on varying topics, giving the communication professional a chance to gain advanced knowledge in a particular area.
  • These half-day sessions are valuable to the professional who is too strapped for time to attend full-day conferences in larger metropolitan areas.

• SPARK Awards. Getting the recognition you deserve for your work is important. As a member of MarCom you will receive advance notice of the annual SPARK Awards and discounted entry fees.

• Summer Social. While MarCom takes a hiatus in July and August from its monthly meetings, the organization offers a mid-summer evening social with the opportunity for more casual networking and socializing.
  • The cost of the Summer Social is included in MarCom member dues. An annual announcement is made prior to the event through this website and the e-newsletter system.
